David A. Cover

Worship Director
On staff since 2009
David was born and raised in Columbia, graduating from Rock Bridge High School and the University of Missouri. As the son of one of the founding pastors, David was involved at The Crossing since he was teenager. From running PowerPoint slides at the earliest services to playing guitar on Sundays, he volunteered in different roles until he came on staff in 2009. David met his wife, Molly, while they both worked at The Crossing as interns. In the spring of 2007, frustrated with David’s continued playful attempts to ask her out, Molly protested, “David, we’re not dating, we’ve never dated, and we’re never going to date!” They were married in the winter of 2008, and now have three sons and a dog. Along with Scott Johnson, David serves as Worship Director. His responsibilities include planning and leading worship services, serving as an instrumentalist on the music team, running sound, and writing and recording music.
