The video’s were good, and we enjoyed watching and discussing them. It took a couple of hours of prep time for me to read and work through all the questions. The video’s bounce around to different chapters in the book and so you just didn’t read the book through. Really enjoyable book but keep in mind that it is pretty deep.

This is not a typical Bible study. In this video series, Tim Keller discusses various topics with a group of unbelievers. He is not lecturing to them, or even trying to convince them of the truth of certain Christian beliefs. Often he is simply listening to their issues or concerns and responding in a manner that suggests he is truly open to hearing them. Our group had two reactions: first it helped us to think more clearly about how to engage others without preaching to them; second it touched our hearts to see folks struggling with trying to understand or outright rejecting belief. It strengthened our compassion for the lost.
