The Gospel-Centered Community

Robert Thune

About This Book

We don’t want to be alone. We want to love and be loved; and we know that genuine relationships make our life rich. But somehow living in community always ends up being harder than we thought. This nine-lesson small group study helps participants learn how the Spirit shapes diverse people into a Christ-centered community that reflects Jesus to a watching world. Each lesson is self-contained, featuring clear teaching from Scripture, and requires no extra work outside the group setting.

9 lessons; includes article to read together as a group and leaders’ guide with discussion questions.

This is a very good study and is laid out in a easy to understand format for the leader and group member with great questions.

This study was a perfect fit. Little to no prep needed for leaders or the group (although leaders reading over the 3-4 pages before leading discussion was helpful). Each chapter was short enough to read out loud together so everyone could participate in discussion and each chapter was packed with conversation-inspiring material. This study helped build our small group’s community through many opportunities to share, thoughtful questions and a great challenge to why community is worth the effort.
