A Sign of God’s Promises to Us

Baptism is a significant time in the lives of individuals, families, and the community here at The Crossing. Our baptism services are opportunities to celebrate how God is changing lives and deepen our trust in the gospel through seeing this unique picture of God’s promises to us in Christ.

What is baptism?

Baptism is a sign of God’s promises to his people. Baptism is a picture of the gospel, and so we believe it is more about God’s promises to us then our promises to him. While we believe baptism is an important, a sacrament instituted by Jesus, we do not believe that it saves. We are saved by grace – by the life, death, and resurrection of Jesus freely offered to all who repent and believe.

When and Where is the Baptism Service?

Baptism services are held three times a year: in early September, early December, and April. Our September service is held at The Crossing lake and courtyard and followed by lunch together. Our December and April services are held in The Crossing auditorium. Friends, family, and anyone in our community are welcome to come and watch the baptism service.

Who can be baptized?

We believe that the proper recipients of baptism are believing adults who are members of the church (or in process of membership) and their children.

How can I sign up for baptism?

You can sign up for baptism and the required Preparation for Baptism class by signing up online.

If you are several months out from the next baptism service and would like to be put on our baptism interest list, p lease email us.
