Talking Pictures
Whether their stories play out in the local multiplex, an independent theater, or your very own living room, movies are a prominent element of our culture. By creatively reflecting the ideas and values of those who produce them, they’re capable of exerting a powerful effect on those of us who watch. Talking Pictures is meant to help you approach this engaging art form with growing discernment. At each event we’ll watch a movie (complete with popcorn, candy, and soda) and take some time for thoughtful discussion afterward. In the process, we hope to not only enjoy good films, but also grow in our faithfulness to God’s redemptive purposes.
