Sundays at The Crossing

Discover ways to get involved in the transformational community of The Crossing by being a part of a Sunday morning class.

Children’s Ministries

Children’s classes for newborns through 5th graders are available during both services. Classrooms are open 10 minutes before each service.

Little Ones (0–2 years)
8, 9:30, and 11 a.m.
A young child’’s faith is nurtured through play, songs, prayer, stories and caring for their needs. In our 1 and 2––year-old classes, children begin to learn simple concepts about God.

Preschool (3–5 years)
8, 9:30, and 11 a.m.
Children will learn through large group teaching, worship, small group activities, games, and crafts. We also have a live band twice a month for a special morning of worship.

Elementary
Each week, children will meet together for worship at the beginning of the hour in the Large Group Room.

Elementary (K–4th grades)
8, 9:30, and 11 a.m.
Through workshops, children will rotate through a variety of hands-on, interactive learning environments including art, science,
drama, storytelling, cooking, and games to learn about God in unforgettable ways.

Elementary (5th grade)

8, 9:30, and 11 a.m.

With our 5th graders we use a curriculum called Grapple. Grapple answers real-life preteen questions and tackles the issues they care about most. It also delivers biblical truth in a way that connects with your preteen. Attention-grabbing Bible lessons and small group discussions prompt 5th graders to dig into the Bible and grow closer to the Lord. On occasion the kids will attend a service as a class.

Multi-age Class

9:30 a.m.and 11 a.m.

Kids in kindergarten through fourth grade that attend both services will be combined in a separate classroom during the second service for games, crafts, and a short devotion. This upbeat and high energy class gives the kids an opportunity to do something different, rather than participate in the same lesson twice. Kids in fifth grade will be taken if space allows, but we encourage parents to take their fifth graders into service.

Student Ministries

In the Student Ministry classes, leaders strive to build a sense of community and an environment that fosters spiritual growth. To accomplish these goals, we combine building relationships and having fun with interactive teaching and small group discussions led by our student ministry team.

Middle School (6th & 7th grades)
9:30 a.m., MB 304
We will be walking through the life of Moses during the Sunday morning hour, learning about how God used this imperfect man to accomplish incredible things, and the importance of having faith throughout our lives no matter what comes our way.

Junior High (8th & 9th grades)
9:30 a.m., MB 302
The first half of the Sunday morning, junior high class is spent welcoming students and playing interactive group games. During the second half of the class, students will take part in discussions covering different topics of the Bible. Our series for the next month is titled Christianity vs. Religion. We are looking at the general idea of Christianity and what the reality of Christianity is based on what we learn from Jesus through the Bible.

Senior High (10th & 12th grades)
9:30 a.m., MB 303
Ever wonder how the Bible actually fits together?  What does Genesis have to do with Jesus?  How do the Old Testament and New Testament relate?  What does it all mean for how I live my life?  These are the types of questions that we'll be answering in our current series, based on a book by D.A. Carson entitled The God Who Is There: Finding Your Place In God's Story

Adult Ministries

Our Connections Classes offer an additional opportunity to hear biblically driven teaching that is necessary to develop a God-centered approach to life. The format provides an opportunity for extended teaching and the casual environment encourages questions and interaction.

Classes are normally scheduled at 9:30 and 11 a.m.

Please see Adult Connections Classes for more information.
