Influences: Scott, The Crossing, my family, Mr. Rogers, Colorado.


Epic Moments: Reaching the summit of Blanca Peak with my Dad, my parents’ divorce, marrying Scott, finishing the Chicago marathon, the day I decided to go into full-time ministry.


Education: B.S. in Elementary Education from Stephens College.


Favorite Bands/Music: The Beatles, Coldplay, Joni Mitchell, Neil Young, Peter Gabriel, J.S. Bach, The Temptations.


Best Invention: The Juicer (I use mine every morning!).


Favorite Book(s): To Small to Ignore by Wes Stafford, The Hiding Place by Corrie Ten Boom, I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings by Maya Angelo, Hatchet by Gary Paulson, Ender’s Game by Orson Scott Card, and anything by Cynthia Rylant.


Favorite Movies: The Sound of Music, Nowhere in Africa, Babette’s Feast, Finding Nemo, Serenity, Lord of the Rings Trilogy.


Favorite Shows: Seinfeld, Firefly, Star Trek, The Next Generation, Mr. Roger’s Neighborhood, Battlestar Galactica.


Spare Time: Cooking, reading children’s books, wine tasting, being outside.


Fear Factors: Squirrels, and driving on icy roads.


Biggest Frustration: When children are treated as a second-rate mandate.


Passion: Helping kids fall in love with Jesus.
