Influences: My Dad, C.S. Lewis, Kent McKeaigg, K-Life Columbia, The Crossing, mountains in general, the Men of the Palace.
Epic Moments: Climbing 16 pitches on a 1000 ft rock wall to summit Mt. Kenya, summiting Mt. Kilimanjaro, white-water rafting the Nile, bungee jumping, sky diving, backpacking in new Zealand, living in Kenya, switching majors in college (biology to philosophy…one of the best decisions I ever made).
Education: BA, Philosophy, University of Missouri.
Favorite Bands/Music: Counting Crows, Caedman’s Call, U2 (I feel compelled to say that because I work at The Crossing), Pearl Jam, Nickel Creek.
Best Invention: Spell-check.
Favorite Book(s): Pilgrim at Tinker Creek by Annie Dillard, Peace Like a River by Leif Enger, No Picnic on Mt. Kenya by Benuzzi, The Things They Carried by Tim O’Brien, Not the Way Its Suppose to Be by Cornelius Plantinga, whatever I am reading at the time by the great CS Lewis.
Favorite Movies: Braveheart, Fletch, The Matrix, Last of the Mohicans, Dead Poets Society.
Favorite Shows: Sportscenter, Lost, 24.
Spare Time: Reading, climbing, biking, hiking, travel, the beautiful game.
Fear Factors: Moving water, guns.
Biggest Frustration: My own technological ignorance.
Passion(s): Learning to think well about the important things, teaching others to do the same, and reading great books.
Motivation: Inspiring others to believe more and more the promises of God.
