Influences: David Blakeney (my youth pastor), Jerry Bridges (author), Monte Starkes (discipled me in college), Campus Outreach, Sonship (discipleship ministry), Jerram Barrs (seminary professor), John Piper (author/pastor), Covenant Theological Seminary.

Epic Moments: Starring in the lead role in my high school musical as Harold Hill in “The Music Man,” climbing and watching the sunrise from the top of Mt. Fuji, landing a job at Wal-Mart and finding my wife Nicole there (ask for the story), wedding to Nicole on January 10, 1998, London/ Edinburgh/Paris in 8 days with Nicole, and the birth of our kiddos Anna and Hudson.

Education: 1997–BA History from Samford University; 2001–2 years of Japanese from Karuizawa Language School in Japan; 2007–M.Div from Covenant Theological Seminary.

Favorite Bands/Music: U2, Caedman’s Call, Coldplay, Derek Webb, Indelible Grace, Journey.

Best Invention
: Audio books, ipods, Macs (ha!), and smoothies.

Favorite Books: Desiring God, Pleasures of God, and Future Grace by John Piper, Mere Christianity and The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S. Lewis, Transforming Grace by Jerry Bridges, True Spirituality by Francis Schaeffer.

Favorite Movies:
The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Star Wars Trilogy (the real one), The Matrix Trilogy, Spider-man Trilogy (I like trilogies!), Braveheart, Hotel Rwanda.

Favorite Quote:

Favorite Sport/Team: Football! Alabama style baby!

Spare Time: Playing with Anna and Hudson, watching movies with Nicole, watching football, reading, tennis, and frisbee golf.

Fear Factors: Flying bugs (especially mosquitoes), and heights.

Biggest Frustration: Not enough time in the day, and sticky fingers.

Passions: Family, fun, Alabama football, music, movies.

Motivation: Seeing and helping others to see the truth and grace of God in all of life.
