Influences: Mother, Grandparents, suburban St. Louis, Campus Crusade for Christ, college girlfriends, my husband, our staff team.


Epic Moments: Winning 1st place in our elementary school science fair, parents divorce, Easter 1992, being asked to marry Ryan, a sunset on the Danube River, the passing of my grandfather, and the birth of our two children.


Education: Parkway West High School (Go Longhorns!); University of Missouri-Columbia, BA, Communication.

Favorite Bands/Music: Norah Jones, James Taylor, Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Paul Simon, Jack Johnson, Caedmon’s Call, Garth Brooks.

Best Invention: Tivo (no commercials!!!).


Favorite Book(s): Any law or political thriller, missionary biographies, any resource put out by Paul David Tripp, A Severe Mercy, A Mother’s Heart, Into Thin Air.

Favorite Movies: All Jane Austen movies but especially Pride and Prejudice (the 5 hour version), Les Miserables, You’ve Got Mail, The Royal Tenenbaums.

Favorite Shows: 20/20 with John Stossel, Grey’s Anatomy, Lost, House, Studio 60, The Today Show, Seinfeld.

Spare Time: Organizing something, reading, talking on the phone, and running (or trying to make myself run).

 

Fear Factors: Things out of my control.

 

Biggest Frustration: Inefficiency and things that aren’t organized.

 

Passion: People being real with one another.

Motivation: To live for things that eternally matter.

Personal Motto: If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it. But if it’s broken…please fix it!
