Biblical Counseling - Fee Based

Lynn Roush received her B.A. in Psychology from Taylor University and then went on to complete a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. She worked for a Christian inpatient counseling organization along with a Christian psychiatrist providing group therapy, marital counseling and individual counseling. Lynn’s seminary background as well as her clinical psychological training has allowed her to gain a comprehensive understanding of people’s behavior and how it relates to their spiritual beliefs and their relationship with God.

Lynn has experience in several areas, including depression, anxiety, eating disorders, marital issues and family dynamics.

 

 

Availability

 

Lynn is working part time at The Crossing to offer biblical counseling to those who are either members or regular attenders of The Crossing. She is available on Mondays from 12 p.m.– 5 p.m. and Thursdays from 10 a.m.–4 p.m.. Limited hours on Wednesday evening are also available.

 

Counseling Participation Fee

 

The church has established a counseling participation fee for those who are seeking counseling from Lynn Roush. The fee is due at the beginning of each session and accounts must be kept current in order to continue counseling. Cash or checks are accepted forms of payment and checks should be made payable to “The Crossing." Please note that we are unable to accept insurance.

For members and students of The Crossing:
Individual - $25
Couple - $35

Non-members who regularly attend The Crossing:
Individual rate - $35
Couple - $50

Scholarships are available by filling out the Application for Scholarship and including it with the other documents you send in to the church office.

 

 

How to Get Started

 

If you are interested in setting up an appointment to meet with Lynn Roush, please review and fill out the Adult Intake and Informed Consent forms. After completing and signing the documents, you can either mail them to the church office, or place them in a sealed envelope and drop them off at the office with “Attn: Lynn Roush, Counseling” printed on the front. Once this step has been taken, you may contact Lynn to set up an appointment.

What else do I need to know?

 

Each session is 50 minutes. Counseling sessions will take place in the prayer room at The Crossing. You may check in at the church office. Please plan to arrive 10 minutes prior to your appointment so the session can begin on time. You may be asked to complete homework assignments, or purchase a book to be read in conjunction with your Pastoral Counseling. In addition, prayer, Scripture reading or memorization may be utilized as part of the counseling process. Your commitment to the counseling process will greatly determine the outcome of your experience.
