Connections Classes

The worship service isn’t the only way to grow spiritually on Sunday morning at The Crossing. Connections Classes offer an additional opportunity to hear the biblically driven teaching that is necessary to develop a God-centered approach to all of life. The format provides an opportunity for extended teaching, and the casual environment encourages questions and interaction.

Connections Classes

Family Matters
9:30 a.m., Rm 204
Keith Simon, Shay Roush, Mike Cranford

How can you be an effective parent today when attacks on the family are stronger than ever before? The answer, author Bill Farley says, is the gospel. Parents who claim the gospel as their own have an enormous effect on their marriage, their integrity, and their love for their children. Keeping the gospel at the forefront of every aspect of their lives helps parents fear God, sensitizes them to sin, motivates them to enter their children’s world, and causes them to teach the beauty of the gospel to their children. This class will discuss the book Gospel-Powered Parenting: How the Gospel Shapes and Transforms Parenting.

Christian Beliefs
11 a.m., Rm 204
Nathan Tiemeyer, Phil Vineyard, Keith Simon

God doesn’t call everyone to go off to seminary, but there are certain biblical truths that every Christian simply needs to know. After all, what we believe affects how we live. Featuring video presentations from well-regarded scholar Wayne Grudem and guided discussion, this class will help you better understand these foundational Christian doctrines no matter where you’re at in your faith.
